Focused software, built to last.

MSH86 is an independent engineering practice — designing and building small, well-made web products, end to end.

Approach

Most software is bigger than it needs to be. MSH86 exists to build the opposite — tools and sites that do exactly what they're meant to, and nothing more.

That starts with a plain question: what does this actually need to do? Everything that doesn't answer it gets cut — fewer dependencies, faster pages, interfaces that stay out of the way.

Capabilities

Product design

Interfaces that are simple to use and just as simple to build on.

Front-end engineering

Fast, accessible interfaces — framework-free by default, React when it earns its cost.

Back-end & APIs

Small services that are easy to reason about and cheap to run.

Performance

Pages that load fast on a slow connection and a five-year-old phone.

Process

  1. Discover

Understand the problem, the audience, and what "done" actually looks like.

  2. Shape

Sketch the structure before any code — content, flow, and the one thing the page has to do well.

  3. Build

Write it clean, test it on real devices, keep dependencies to a minimum.

  4. Ship

Deploy, monitor, and hand over something that's easy to maintain without me.
